Imperial War Museum Trip 2017

The Year 9 students have just been on a very exciting trip to the Imperial War Museum. Students went to the Holocaust Exhibition and talked with the guides about what happened and how the persecution of Jews developed in Nazi Germany. Students were able to discuss many of the poignant artefacts and the messages that they offer to us as an insight into what happened. Students found it to be a very moving experience.

Students also got a chance to look around the museum and the new interactive WW1 rooms. They tried on outfits, worked out if they were tall and big enough to enlist and even walked through a trench. The museum has many  interesting stories and has interactive screens that show the expanse of WWI in terms of geography as well as the causes, events and consequences.

All in all it was two very enjoyable days.  We look forward to running the trip again next year.
